On December 10th 2024, has occurred an inspiring conversation with Renaud Siegmann at the Forùm of Fnac Andorra, organised at the occasion of the launch of Philippe Shangti Futurspective book. This event gathered around 70 persons to attend the conference between the artist Philippe Shangti and the writer of Renaud Siegmann.
During this conversation, Philippe Shangti has shared some insights about his creative process, the creation of his first pieces of art in Saint-Tropez, and the evolution of his art through his 10-years career. Through the book creative process, Renaud Siegmann has been explaining how he has accompanied the artist Philippe Shangti to capture the essence of his art, the various phases he has gone through to grow, and the causes he has chosen to fight for through his collection.
The particularity of Futurspective, is that the idea of this book dates back to 10 years-ago when Philippe as a young artist was already willing to jump on this new adventure. However, to create such a piece of art and legacy that will persist in time, it has been paramount that the artist matures, learns about himself. Sometimes, the artist is not lucid enough about himself to fully explain his artworks, and here comes the role of the writer. The writer analyses the artist’s creative process, and unconscious artistic motivations, key in enabling the establishment of a book, transcribing the very most important message alongside the artworks.
